  • There is a 5% Convenience Charge added to the amount of your bill when
    you usea VISA or MASTERCARD  credit / debit  card

APPLICATION FOR WATER SERVICE

  • All information contained on the application for water service will be verified. 
    Anyone providing fraudulent information will be subject to criminal prosecution.
    1. All payments for water disconnected for non-payment or bad check will be
    handled only during normal business hours:  Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.
    to 5:00 p.m.  No after-hours reconnects.
    2. Reconnects will be handled between the hours of 4:00 and 5:00 in the
    afternoon.
    3. There is a $30.00 service charge on all returned checks.
    4. No checks will be accepted on an account that has been
    disconnected for non-payment.

RECONNECT FEE $50.00 for all accounts disconnected for non-payment.

PAYMENTS AFTER 4:00 PM We are unable to accept payments from 4:00 to 5:00
each day IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR BILL.  We perform a backup of the computer
system during this time.  We regret any inconvenience.

SEWER AND GARBAGEPlease note, the Monroeville Water Works only bills and
collects the sewer and garbage for the City.  Each month, these charges are remitted
to the City, therefore they do not promote the growth of the Monroeville Water Works
system.  The Monroeville Water Works relies on the revenue generated from the sale
of water for its growth and receives no tax monies.


All new customers and account transfers need to go to City Hall to sign up for
Garbage Collection Services.

All garbage questions should be directed to City Clerk Toni McKelvy at 575-2081,
and all sewer questions should be directed to Darlene Johnson at 743-3500.
